As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, optimise workflows, and support both project delivery and business growth, while fostering a positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence Manage and streamline core business processes including resource allocation, project scheduling, and capacity planning Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement Oversee, procurement, vendor and supplier relationships Resource & Project Coordination Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal resource allocation across client engagements Track consultant utilisation rates and identify opportunities to maximise billable time Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for contract consultants Support project delivery by removing operational blockers and ensuring teams have the tools they need People & Culture Collaborate with the People Team on recruitment, onboarding and training administration Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement Coordinate internal and external events and activities Support the development and maintenance of a robust workforce plan Business Development Support Assist with bid preparation and proposal development from an operational perspective Maintain CRM systems and support sales pipeline management Provide end-to-end sales administration support Requirements Previous experience in operations management, ideally within professional services or consultancy Understanding of project management methodologies and resource planning activity Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Proficiency with operational tools (e.g., project management software, CRM systems, Microsoft 365) Commercial acumen and understanding of business financials Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion Desirable Requirements Experience within tech, IT, or digital consultancy environments Knowledge of compliance requirements (ISO standards, data protection, etc.) Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools Benefits 25 days Annual Leave (plus bank holidays) Additional days of paid leave for celebrations and life events. 1 additional day of holiday after 2 years' service (26 days total) and another 2 days after 5 years (28 days total) Monthly Wellness Allowance Annual Learning and Development Allowance Matched Employer Contributed Pension (5%) Life assurance based on 4 x your salary Access to an Employee Assistance Programme Enhanced Family Leave Enhanced Company Sick Pay A range of optional Salary Sacrifice benefits (inc EV Scheme, Home and Tech, Cycle to Work and Pension) Exciting calendar of Burendo social events and activities
