Overview of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant passionate about delivering innovative environmental solutions. You will contribute to a growing pipeline of projects within our Environment, Nature, and Consents business, supporting projects across various sectors and clients.
The role can be based out of any of our UK offices, with a preference for Altrincham, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Reading, Southampton, with potential for travel.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading EIA screening, scoping, and producing Environmental Statements and reports.
* Coordinating technical input from multidisciplinary specialists.
* Assisting with monitoring programs, resources, and budgets.
* Supporting business development and proposal writing.
* Engaging with clients and stakeholders.
* Mentoring team members and supporting their development.
Candidate Specification
We seek candidates with a passion for environmental outcomes and a proven track record in project delivery across sectors. Essential skills include:
* Relevant academic/professional qualifications.
* Chartership with a recognized organization (IEMA, IES, CIWEM, etc.) or working towards it.
* Experience in environmental assessment, EIA, legislation, and sustainability strategies.
* Client-facing experience with stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong organizational and management skills.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable experience includes bid/tender delivery, working on TWAO/DCO schemes, and sector-specific knowledge in Water, Defence, Energy, Marine, or Rail.
