Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a flair for creating exceptional drinks that enhance our guests' experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and organised. This is a great opportunity to work along side one of the U.K and south's most exciting young chefs and to learn from a multi-award winning bar manager.
The Great Bustard comprises:
* A bar with a pub feeling with an open fire and tables serving food.
* A dining room with 40 covers serving very high quality food.
* A generous garden and courtyard with an outdoor bar.
* 10 bedrooms finished to a high spec.
* A private dining room for 12 people.
* A treatment room.
* A shop selling local produce and coffee.
* A children's playground.
* The Great Bustard is dog friendly.
Duties
* Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.
* Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Assist the Bar Manager with training and development of the Team and ensure the daily/weekly cleaning and bar control is complete to the standards required.
* Engage with customers to provide outstanding service and assist with drink recommendations.
* Assist the Bar Manager with inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
* Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working in the bar environment.
* Demonstrate excellent time management skills during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
Requirements
* Previous experience in bartending or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Experience in developing cocktail and drinks lists and pricing.
* Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
* Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently.
* A willingness to learn new techniques and recipes in bartending.

Staff housing is not currently avalible but there will be prospect to offer this in the future for the right candidate

Pay: £12.50 per hour excluding service charge
