The Role As a Student Engagement Mentor, you’ll work closely with teachers and a wider multidisciplinary team to provide personalised support throughout the school day. Whether in the classroom, during therapeutic activities, or through targeted interventions, your role will be vital in helping students achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development Delivering one-to-one and small group support for pupils with complex needs Encouraging positive engagement with learning and daily routines Supporting communication, sensory, physical, and behavioural needs Assisting with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support, while always promoting dignity and respect Building strong, positive relationships that help students feel safe, valued, and empowered We’re looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
