This position is offered on a 0-hour contract through an agency, starting on a temporary basis. For those demonstrating commitment, reliability, and a good fit with the school, there may be opportunities to transition to a permanent school contract.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support pupils with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene routines.
* Assist in delivering classroom-based learning and therapeutic activities under staff guidance.
* Promote pupils' physical, emotional, and social development according to their individual care plans and EHCPs.
* Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who may have autism, complex medical needs, or physical disabilities.
* Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

* Experience in care (e.g., healthcare, residential, or personal care roles) or education (e.g., teaching assistant or learning support) is essential.
* A patient, compassionate, and professional approach.
* Willingness to support personal care and manual handling (training provided).
* Good communication and teamworking skills.
* A proactive attitude and ability to adapt in a dynamic school environment.

What's on Offer:

* Flexible, term-time work through an agency, with weekly pay.
* Opportunities for long-term placements and potential progression to a permanent contract.
* Access to training in safeguarding, moving and handling, and SEN strategies.

An enhanced DBS check on the update service and suitable references are required.

If you're committed to supporting young people with additional needs and are ready to advance your care or education career, we want to hear from you.

Applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and training. Please see the FAQ section on the Teaching Personnel website for details.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, with potential for permanent placement later.
