At Court Lane Infant and Court Lane Junior, we are committed to providing children with a safe, stimulating, and positive learning culture. We live by our school values of Believe, Inspire, Achieve. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated class teacher from September 2025, who may be based at either school depending on experience. You will have the drive and passion to make a difference and a love of learning. We aim for the children's learning experiences to be engaging, creative, and thought-provoking. We believe every child deserves excellent teaching and curriculum provision so that they can progress and succeed.
You will have a secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and high expectations for pupils' academic achievement and personal development. You are able to inspire, challenge, and motivate pupils to excel, providing them with the support and encouragement needed to gain confidence and independence. You can adapt teaching and learning approaches to provide an inclusive environment for all pupils.
As a professional and dedicated staff team, we collaborate to secure high-quality provision for children, sharing expertise and working together. You will benefit from working as part of a year team with a dedicated Year Leader and access to a Pastoral Team offering support and advice. We work in partnership with parents and the wider community for success and safeguarding of pupils.
The school is part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust family. Each academy has a unique identity but shares a belief in creating a positive and enriching environment where all staff feel valued and proud to be part of the Trust. There are various professional development opportunities available within our school and the Trust.
To support staff wellbeing and high-quality education, we have introduced a two-week October half-term across all our schools. This initiative provides staff and pupils with a valuable break during the long autumn term, reducing illness-related absences and supporting overall wellbeing. It also promotes greater consistency across our Trust, creating a more connected and efficient working environment.
At the University of Chichester Academy Trust, we believe diversity drives creativity, innovation, and excellence. We are committed to providing equal opportunities and fostering an inclusive culture. We welcome applications from individuals underrepresented in our workforce, including those from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people, LGBTQI individuals, and women (especially for senior leadership roles).
You can apply for this vacancy by downloading the University of Chichester Academy Trust application form from the school website, completing it, and sending it via email to the school. We welcome visits to the school or conversations with our Head Teacher, Laura Flitton, or Deputy Head Teacher, Karen Reynolds. Please email to arrange a visit or discuss the position in more detail.
