About the Team
The Parking Management Team is a small, dynamic group dedicated to managing and improving parking services across various projects and schemes, as well as ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Our team thrives on collaboration and efficiency, delivering high-quality services to the community.
We are seeking a new team member to provide hands-on support for upcoming projects and schemes, and to assist with customer queries and requests.
About the Role
As the Contract and Projects Monitoring Assistant, you will support the Parking Team in a variety of activities as we develop new projects and schemes. Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support for resident permit and parking scheme reviews, conducting initial informal public engagements, and managing ongoing administrative and monitoring tasks throughout the project lifecycle. You should be well-organized, proactive, and able to work independently. Additionally, you will triage and respond to the busy service inbox, assisting with customer queries and requests.
Key Requirements
The role requires strong written, analytical, and communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. You must be able to work independently with strong problem-solving skills, supported by a small team. Excellent customer service skills are essential for assisting customers and elected members with their queries and requests.
You should be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Experience with computer systems for data entry and retrieval, as well as proficiency in word processing software and spreadsheets, is essential.

This role requires fluency in English, as outlined in the Code of Practice on language requirements for public sector workers. You must be able to communicate effectively and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
