We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping our guests’ dining experience — bringing fresh ideas, delivering consistently excellent food, and inspiring a motivated kitchen brigade
The responsibility.
* Prepare, cook and present dishes to the highest standard ensuring that they meet agreed menu specifications
* Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen performance including the cost control, purchasing, stock management, menu development & team training
* Ensure compliance with all food safety, health & safety, fire & security regulations
* Create a positive collaborative kitchen environment that celebrates success and encourages learning
* Drive commercial performance by maximising revenue across the restaurant, bar & functions
* Take ownership of opening & closing procedures including supervision of kitchen porters
* Support the Head Chef in monitoring guest feedback and take proactive steps to continuously improve
Additional Information
This is a 40 hours per week role 5 shifts over 7 days including evenings, weekends & bank holidays.
* Experience chef at CDP level or higher
* Previous responsibility of ordering and stock management
* Organised, confident & self-motivated
* Food Hygiene Level 2 or higher
