Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Project Manager to drive engineering excellence and lead transformational projects in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. About the Role In this key role, you'll provide expert engineering support to our production teams, lead automation initiatives, and deliver process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and quality. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a pivotal role in shaping our future engineering strategy. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and engineering expertise to all production departments. Lead and deliver automation and obsolescence projects in line with site strategy. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to develop and implement process improvements. Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities in areas such as proactive maintenance, efficiency, and automation. Deliver operational projects in line with SAPM standards and project timelines. Ensure all equipment complies with health & safety and food safety legislation. Engage and manage contractors on site, ensuring safe and efficient work execution. Lead by example—coaching, mentoring, and developing others across departments. Drive a culture of commercial thinking, innovation, and external benchmarking. Prepare and present CapEx investment cases to senior stakeholders and procurement. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and safety within your area of responsibility. What We’re Looking For Time-served mechanical or electrical engineer (or equivalent qualification). Proven experience leading engineering or automation projects. Background in food manufacturing or FMCG environments. Strong track record of delivering against project plans, KPIs, and schedules. Solid understanding of food safety and health & safety requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with CMMS systems.
