Hays Education are delighted to be supporting a thriving secondary school based in the Wirral, who require a teacher of Science on a part term basis, required immediately after the February half term break. This is a temporary assignment via Hays, expected to last on a long term basis.
Your new role
You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 Science, with a particular focus on Biology. The role is to begin immediately after the February half‑term and will run on a temporary supply basis. This position covers Monday to Wednesday, and Hays will work with you to secure additional supply work on the remaining days, should you be available.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Planning and delivering engaging science lessons
2. Supporting pupils’ progress across KS3 and KS4
3. Contributing to a positive and safe learning environment
4. Working collaboratively with the science department
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
5. QTS or equivalent secondary teaching qualification
6. Strong subject knowledge, particularly in Biology
7. Confidence in delivering Science across KS3 and KS4
8. Good classroom management skills
9. A passion for education and supporting young people
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness for Hays to process one
