Children’s Home Manager
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
Home Capacity: 5-bed residential home
Are you a passionate leader with a vision for making a real difference in young people’s lives? We are looking for an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a 5-bed children's home in Stockton-on-Tees. As a Registered Manager of this home, you’ll play a key role in shaping a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment that supports every child’s individual journey. Backed by a robust support structure, you’ll have everything you need to lead confidently and successfully.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Creating and overseeing personalised care plans that meet the full spectrum of young people’s needs: educational, emotional, social, cultural, therapeutic, and health-related.
Recruiting, inducting, and developing a high-performing, stable team that puts the young people first.
Championing young people's voices by embedding inclusive decision-making processes in daily care.
Appointing and supporting Key Workers to effectively implement care plans.
Upholding the highest standards of care in line with regulatory frameworks and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
Responding swiftly to concerns, complaints, and safeguarding issues.
Working in partnership with families, carers, and professionals to promote each young person’s welfare.
Contributing to care planning and review processes to ensure continuous development.

What We’re Looking For:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential child care, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – or commitment to start within 6 months
In-depth knowledge of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, and relevant childcare legislation
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with confidence in managing budgets
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
A clear understanding of the needs of children with emotional, behavioural, and social difficulties
