About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer with a strong electrical bias and advanced PLC programming experience to join a leading provider of industrial combustion and fired equipment solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for on-site commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of combustion systems, with a focus on programming, configuring, and testing Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs from scratch. You will work across Europe, supporting customers in oil, gas, petrochemical, power, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities for Commissioning Engineer

Commission, program, and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC systems for industrial combustion equipment.

Perform start-up, testing, and optimization of fired equipment, including flare systems, boilers, process burners, thermal oxidizers, vapor recovery systems, and associated control systems.

Develop and maintain Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), site reports, and timesheets for submission to clients.
*
Deliver on-site training and technical support to end-users on PLC programming, operation, and maintenance.

Identify opportunities for aftermarket spares and ongoing service support.
*
Supervise on-site outages or turnaround contracts.
*
Promote a safe working environment by strictly adhering to health and safety policies.
Candidate Profile for Commissioning Engineer
*
Electrical Bias: Strong electrical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial control systems.
*
PLC Programming: Proven experience programming PLCs from scratch; Siemens and Allen-Bradley essential.
*
Field Service & Commissioning: Experience with on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial systems.
*
Industry Experience: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Chemical, or Industrial Manufacturing.

Technical Skills: Able to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
*
Independent & Collaborative: Comfortable working autonomously on-site, while collaborating with engineering teams globally.

Travel Ready: Willing to travel extensively for 1–2 week periods, up to 200+ days per year.
*
Safety Focused: Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and offshore environments.
*
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with good computer literacy
