MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. If you feel you have the skills and experience required, then please apply for an immediate response.
The Job you will be doing;
A Production Operator is responsible for assembling, soldering, inspecting, or testing electronic components and subassemblies in a cell according to company standards and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble electronic parts, wiring, or subassemblies following diagrams or work instructions.
* Operate small tools, soldering irons, or testing equipment safely and accurately.
* Inspect components for defects or deviations from specifications.
* Perform rework or touch-up soldering when necessary.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
* Record production data, such as quantities, defects, and time taken.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, according to the Health and Safety Executive.
* You will be working 2 shift patterns alternate weeks at 6:00 am - 2:00 pm and 2:00pm - 12:00 am
About you;
* Technical training or prior experience in electronics assembly is an advantage.
* Basic knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.).
* Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings or assembly instructions.
* Experience in soldering (preferred but not always required).
* Attention to detail and quality.
* Basic computer or documentation skills.
* Hand soldering of conventional components to IPC standards
