Role Overview: Due to the growth of The Special Partnership Trust we are looking to appoint an experienced Administrator who will have a specific focus on Governance. The post holder will work closely with the Trust Governance Manager, as well as the central team. The key purpose of the role is to ensure the administration of Governance across the trust is efficient and effective. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting governance across the Trust including supporting local governing bodies (LGBs) across some of our schools. The role will mainly be office based with attendance at meetings in person at the relevant school once a term, which are sometimes held in the evening so flexibility in terms of working hours will be needed. We have schools across Cornwall, Devon and Torbay. The successful candidate will report to the Trust Governance Manager and will receive an induction with ongoing support and guidance. Key Responsibilities: The Governance Administrator will provide essential administrative support on governance, compliance, and policy matters. Key responsibilities include organising and minuting meetings, maintaining statutory policies, coordinating training sessions, and support with compliance monitoring. Additionally, the role involves maintaining governor records and managing the recruitment and onboarding process for new trustees and governors. Qualifications and Experience: • Attainment of 5 GCSE’s A-C (or equivalent) including English and Maths • Attainment of A levels of equivalent qualifications • Can demonstrate administrative effectiveness and be competent in meetings procedures • Ability to prioritise and manage time • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
