We are currently looking to recruit an experienced MIG Welder to join our client who are a leading provider of heating and boiler systems based in Keighley (BD21)
Salary: £31,200 per annum
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:15pm
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to perform high-quality welds on industrial boilers to meet coding and industry standards. This role is critical in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out MIG welding on boiler shells, pipework, and associated components
Weld in accordance with specified welding procedures and coding standards (e.g., BS EN or ASME codes)
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
Perform welds to a consistently high standard, passing non-destructive testing (NDT) where required
Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe, clean working environment
Work to production schedules and quality targetsRequirements:
Proven experience in MIG welding, preferably in heavy/industrial fabrication
Valid or previously held welding coding's (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME Section IX) - training/refresher can be provided
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and weld maps
Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Strong understanding of health and safety practices in a welding environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamDesirable:
Experience working on pressure vessels or boiler fabrication
