Overview
Specialty Doctor in Older Adults Community Mental Health Team (South Hub). This progression post supports psychiatrists interested in entry onto the Specialist Register via the CESR route. Vacancy within the established Older Adults & Specialities services, based with the South Hub Community Mental Health Team for older adults.
Responsibilities
* Assess new patients referred to the community mental health team.
* Provide ongoing treatment and management for patients under the care of the community mental health team.
* Contribute to continuing professional development, audits, research and teaching as part of the role.
Qualifications and requirements
* Full GMC registration.
* Experience of psychiatry at a Core Training grade with a minimum of six months experience in old age psychiatry.
* Approved, or eligible for approval, under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act.
* Enthusiasm for working in culturally diverse areas and strong communication and team-working skills.
Location
The post holder will be based at the Juniper Centre, Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 8LN.
