This role is based with Procurement & Supply chain specialising in Purchasing
Job Description
* Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
* Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
* Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
* Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
* Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
* Assess, manage and mitigate risks
* Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
* Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchasing Manager should have:
* A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
o CIPS - Not essential but desired
* Proven working experience in product management
* Great attention to detail
* Managing a Team of three Purchasing Administrators
* Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
* Experience in collecting and analysing data
This role is Hybrid with 2 office days per week at Head office based in Cheltenham
