Legal Assistant (Family), 1+ Years Experience, Leicestershire, £23,000+ (DOE) – A new opportunity for an experienced and proactive Legal Assistant to join a highly respected Family Department. JOB REF: 9617.
1. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic legal practice, supporting fee earners in sensitive areas such as Divorce, Children Act proceedings, and Financial Remedy matters.
2. As a key member of the Family Department, you will provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to fee earners.
3. You will be involved in case management, working closely with clients, counsel, and external agencies to ensure the smooth running of complex family law matters.
4. You will undertake accurate audio and copy typing, including preparing legal documents and court bundles.
5. Manage incoming and outgoing communication – calls, emails, and correspondence.
6. Handle file opening/closing and client data entry with precision.
7. Attend court hearings to support Counsel when required.
8. Support general office administration including billing, payment processing, and file organisation.
9. Proven experience in a legal assistant or secretarial role within a family law setting is essential.
10. You should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and work well within a team environment.
