About Our Client
Small dynamic business in the health, safety, and wellbeing sector, operating two connected limited companies with a combined turnover of around £1 million. They offer a flexible working structure and are seeking a skilled bookkeeper to manage all financial operations independently, including VAT, payroll, and reporting, using Xero and Salesforce.
Job Description
3. Standalone role managing day-to-day financial operations for two sister companies
4. Full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable
5. Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
6. Preparation of cash flow forecasts and management accounts
7. End-to-end payroll processing and commission calculations
8. VAT return preparation and submission
9. Liaison with subcontractors and internal team for smooth financial operations
10. Coordination with external accountant for annual accounts
11. Support HR functions and subcontractor compliance
12. General administrative support as needed
13. Requires 3+ years' experience in finance or accounts administration
14. Strong proficiency in Xero and excellent attention to detail
15. Flexible working pattern: 3 full days or 5 shorter days per week

The Successful Applicant
A successful Account Manager / Bookkeeper should have:
17. Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounts administration role
18. Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
19. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
20. Ability to work independently and take full ownership of financial tasks
21. Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
22. Proactive and adaptable with a can-do attitude
23. Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities across two companies
24. Office-based work
25. Able to handle payroll, VAT returns, and financial reporting
26. Willing to support HR functions and general administration as needed
