Senior Clinical Trial Manager – Global Digital Health Programme
Location: London, UK
Working pattern: On-site 5 days per week, London Bridge.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a large-scale, globally recognised research programme delivering clinical trials at significant international scale. You would be part of a multi-partner initiative involving leading healthcare organisations, technology partners, and research institutions, focused on improving maternal and early childhood health outcomes through innovative, data-driven approaches. The programme operates across multiple countries and sites, requiring strong coordination, operational oversight, and consistent delivery of high-quality clinical trials.
The Role
As Senior Clinical Trial Manager, you will take ownership of the operational delivery of clinical trials across the programme.
You will be responsible for ensuring trials are run to the highest standards, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice, and data integrity expectations across all participating sites.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Investigator and Programme leadership, acting as a central point of coordination across research teams, sites, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day management of clinical trials, including site selection, initiation, and monitoring
* Act as the primary point of contact for research teams, trial sites, and external partners
* Develop, maintain, and manage the Trial Master File and all associated documentation
* Ensure all trial activities align with protocol, regulatory requirements, and GCP standards
* Plan and monitor participant recruitment, identifying and addressing any barriers
* Coordinate trial supplies and ensure compliance with intervention protocols
* Monitor data quality in collaboration with statisticians and data managers
* Schedule and support Trial Management Group, Steering Committee, and Data Monitoring Committee meetings
* Prepare and submit regulatory and ethics documentation, including amendments and progress reports
* Manage communication with sponsor organisations and ensure all contractual documentation is in place
* Oversee financial aspects of trials, including forecasting and budget tracking
* Develop and implement procedures to support trial delivery
* Supervise and support junior staff where applicable
What You’ll Bring
* Degree in a relevant health or scientific discipline, with postgraduate training in research methods
* Strong experience in clinical trial management within a research or clinical environment
* Solid understanding of Good Clinical Practice and regulatory frameworks
* Experience working with clinical systems such as CTMS and electronic data capture platforms
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex trial operations
* Experience managing risk within clinical trials and implementing mitigation strategies
* Confidence working across multiple stakeholders in a multi-site environment
* Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
Nice to Have
* Formal qualification in clinical trials or project management
* Experience within digital, remote, or large-scale international trials
* Understanding of AI-enabled or technology-driven research environments
* Experience with financial planning and oversight in clinical trials
* Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members
