About the Role:

As a Groups, Reservations & Events Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the success of our meetings and events business by leading the conference team to optimise diary management, drive revenue, and ensure seamless delivery of our sales strategy. Through your leadership and strategic oversight, you’ll help deliver memorable experiences, strengthen commercial performance, and elevate guest satisfaction.

This is a hands-on role that involves being on your feet, so you’ll bring a positive attitude and the stamina to support our fast-paced environment.

About You:

You will thrive at Cairn Group because you are:

1. Lead the Commercial Office team to consistently deliver outstanding guest service, aligned with our venue standards and values.
2. Take ownership of the conference diary, ensuring accurate bookings, optimal space utilisation, and seamless coordination across the team.
3. Safeguard data integrity across all sales, CRM, and booking platforms to enable accurate forecasting and performance tracking.
4. Champion the conversion of showrounds by training and empowering the team to deliver inspiring, on-brand experiences that exceed expectations.
5. Support continuous improvement through regular audits, test calls, and hands-on training to ensure best practice in enquiry handling and diary management.
6. Oversee the effective operation of the groups and reservations systems, ensuring all processes are followed and standards maintained.
7. Manage and grow key account relationships while identifying and converting new revenue opportunities within the conference and events market.
8. Provide strong leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Commercial Office, mentoring your team and leading on HR-related matters where required.
9. Represent the team with confidence and clarity in all communications, particularly when under pressure or during service recovery.
10. Produce timely and accurate reports that support business reviews, revenue planning, and commercial decision-making.
11. Maintain responsibility for departmental payroll, people processes, and compliance with internal procedures.
