What exactly will you do?
Are you a motivational HR leader with a passion for developing teams and delivering high-quality HR services? We are looking for a People Team Manager to lead and inspire our People Team, ensuring the delivery of legally compliant, efficient, and proactive HR support across the business.
In this role, you will manage day-to-day People Team operations, coach and develop team members, and use HR data and metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, influence decisions, and ensure the team’s work aligns with organisational objectives.
13. Lead and manage the People Team, supporting performance, development, and progression via Personal Development Plans
14. Deliver training, briefings, and development initiatives in partnership with People Business Partners, Legal, and L&D teams
15. Provide advice, guidance, and coaching on complex HR matters
16. Build strong stakeholder relationships to influence decisions and support HR initiatives
17. Ensure HR operations (advice lines, mailboxes, HRIS/People HR) run smoothly and meet service level standards
18. Monitor attendance and absence to support employee wellbeing and reduce absence levels
19. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory changes
20. Review and improve HR policies and processes, ensuring GDPR compliance
21. Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and support decision-making
22. Support HR initiatives and projects alongside the People Business Partner and Global Head of People
What we’re looking for
23. CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) and Associate CIPD membership
24. Proven HR leadership experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment
25. HR generalist experience with strong customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
26. Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements
27. Experience using HRIS systems, ideally People HR
28. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
29. Strong skills in data collation, reporting, and interpretation to support decision-making
30. Motivational, resilient, and proactive leader who can “lead from the front”
31. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
32. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise and delegate
33. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the business
34. Able to commute to our Gateshead Quayside office
