Our large distribution client in Rugby is seeking a proactive, reliable, capable individual who is looking for a career in logistics. If you are keen to learn and are looking for real progression then this could be the perfect role for you!
This role would start out as a Despatch Clerk -
* Dealing with drivers and their paperwork
* Utilising customer systems to update despatch and delivery information where required
* Liaise with drivers on the day of delivery
* Keeping the customer up to date
* General admin and data entry
The role will then progress onto a Planner role:
* To provide a plan that deploys the allocated resource pool in the most effective way
* Completing depot logs
* Check resource availability for shift
* Confirm Driver Start times
* Managing Driver hours
Person Spec:
* Must be reliable
* Previous customer service experience within an office
* Excellent IT skills - the ability to pick up systems easily
* A confident communicator
* A proactive, flexible outlook
* Must be able to work well under pressure
