You will be responsible for providing overall architectural and technical design authority for our Maritime Domain Awareness deployment in the field, encompassing oversight of network connectivity, environmental ruggedisation, power supply, and ancillary support systems across all global projects.
Please note: the role requires international travel in support of our customer projects, sometimes on short notice.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that our systems are rugged and resilient, continuing to provide reliable service even when faced with natural and man-made disasters.
* Review the specifications of equipment to ensure suitability, and review the build specifications of system modules to ensure they are rugged and independent.
* Review supporting system connectivity and power architectures to ensure multiple backup options and resilience.
* Lead technical integration efforts across platforms, sensors, data links, applications, networks, and command-and-control systems, overseeing integration across partners and stakeholders.
* Work closely with our system development, product management and project engineering teams to specify the network and physical system architecture of the systems and equipment modules we are deploying worldwide.
Requirements
* A deep understanding of integrated multi-site systems and the creation and implementation of resilient mission-critical electronic and communication systems.
* Specification of individual equipment components and module build standards that ensure resilience, along with review and creation of resilient system designs (connectivity & power).
* Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing such mission-critical systems in challenging environments, typically gained in the military, critical civil facilities, or oil and gas sectors.
* Demonstrated experience leading system-of-systems integration across platforms, sensors, networks, and mission systems.
