Working across the Trust and wider system, you’ll lead complex service redesign projects - including moving care from acute to community, transforming outpatient services and new care pathways - that improve patient care, align with our values, and deliver measurable benefits. You’ll be responsible for managing programme delivery, ensuring robust planning, stakeholder engagement, and governance. With a strong focus on collaboration, you’ll build effective relationships across clinical, operational, and corporate teams to ensure smooth implementation and integration of change. This role requires strategic thinking, expert programme management skills, and the ability to interpret financial and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll also act as a key link between finance, PMO, and transformation teams, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the programme lifecycle. Join us and help shape the future of healthcare. Main duties of the job The post holder will play a key leadership role in the Trust’s New Hospital Programme team working within the transformation team and with teams across the Trust and wider system to effect change in a timely way, aligned to the trusts values and governance procedures. Lead a designated transformation programme to deliver a significant level of change in patient care delivery. Work closely with a wide variety of teams to deliver complex transformation projects on time and within budget, demonstrating quality, financial benefits and risk management controls. Ensure there is effective stakeholder engagement, reporting, planning and delivery of service reconfiguration and transformation projects across the programme. Develop highly collaborative relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders to deliver the agreed outcomes of their programme. Provide professional leadership and guidance to the wider Trust and staff in relation to effective programme management monitoring and leadership. Critically analysing information and risks in order to inform wider decision making. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience An appropriate post graduate management qualification Programme management qualification or equivalent experience Evidence of continuing personal and professional development Significate senior management experience Desirable criteria Qualification in business process reengineering/redesign Experience Essential criteria Significant experience of transforming services in a complex healthcare environment to successful conclusion Programme and project management experience and delivery in an acute NHS setting.
