Requirements
* Develop, manage, and support the infrastructure underpinning platforms, applications, and data.
* Automate processes to enable rapid, secure delivery of capabilities.
* Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code for automation from development to production.
* Passionate about improving workflows and understanding market trends.
* Communicate stakeholder needs effectively.
* Review and test code written by others, ensuring governance compliance.
* Ensure systems are secure by design, following NCSC principles.
* Manage platform security, including secrets, tokens, and certificates, on cloud or on-premises.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper development and delivery processes.
* Plan projects and participate in project management decisions.
* Design, secure, and maintain on-prem/cloud infrastructure.
* Make and explain technical decisions, resolving disputes across complexity levels.
* Communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Expose and link data via APIs, deliver streaming services.
* Document deployment risks and integrate security features into SDLC.
* Identify security risks and implement controls, monitor infrastructure threats, and ensure compliance.
* Detect vulnerabilities early, deploy secure software faster, and adhere to security standards.
* Experience with agile delivery methodologies.
Ideal Candidates will demonstrate:
* Experience working with security teams.
* Solid infrastructure design experience for on-prem environments.
* Experience with hybrid on-premise and cloud architectures.
* Technological versatility and innovative approach within constraints.
* Strong change/release management and governance experience.
* Proficiency with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform, YAML), and performance monitoring.
* Experience with functional/non-functional testing, automated deployment, and understanding of GDS standards.
* Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and their implications.
* Ability to train, support, and mentor others.
* Experience managing live systems, triaging incidents, and working in multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience with Terraform, YAML, automation tools, monitoring, and security tooling like SAST/DAST.
