Reporting to: Learning Manager and Senior Leadership Team

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support teaching and learning across various subjects and key stages, focusing on engaging and inclusive learning practices that meet the needs of students with SEMH.
2. Create and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported in their learning journey.
3. Build strong, supportive relationships with students, helping to create a sense of trust and safety that encourages academic and personal growth.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to adapt the curriculum and deliver tailored interventions that enable each student to reach their full potential.
5. Work closely with parents and carers, building positive relationships to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting each student's progress and wellbeing.
6. Provide continuous feedback and encouragement, helping students feel confident and motivated in their learning, reinforcing the importance of relational practice at every step.

7. No formal teaching qualification required – we’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for education and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
8. A deep commitment to building positive, supportive relationships with students, staff, and families to enhance student engagement and progress.
9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and connect with students who may have previously faced barriers to learning.
10. A proactive and student-centred mindset, with the flexibility and willingness to develop teaching skills and experience in a supportive environment.
11. Strong behaviour management skills rooted in understanding and responding to students' emotional and social needs.
