Job Summary
Full‑time Band 5 Rotational Nurse at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. Permanent rotational role covering both Hospice at Home and Hospice Care teams across the East Midlands. Closing date: 04 June 2026.
Working pattern
37.5 hours per week. Rotation: 6 months in home settings, 6 months in hospice, repeated. Full UK driving licence required.
Key responsibilities
* Support the Band 6 Deputy Lead Nurse in planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care for babies, children and young people.
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in partnership with families and carers.
* Provide high‑quality short break, palliative and end‑of‑life care in hospice and home settings.
* Travel across East Midlands (Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire).
Essential requirements
* Post‑registration experience as a Band 5 nurse.
* Experience working with children or young people (0‑19 years) with complex needs.
* Ability to deliver a high standard of clinical care.
* Enhanced DBS check and pre‑employment screening required.
Desirable qualifications
* Experience in children’s palliative or end‑of‑life care.
* Community or lone working experience.
* Mentoring or preceptorship qualification.
