An experienced EHV Electrical Protection Engineer is needed to join the team at this leading high-voltage electrical engineering company based in Stafford on a full-time basis. The company specialises in electrical power infrastructure, transport and grid connections. Due to continuing success and a secure sales pipeline, they are looking to recruit additional EHV Electrical Protection Engineers. The professional delivery of 11kV - 132kV utility projects is a key growth area and as such this role is vital to the ongoing success of their business. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a well-established company Key Responsibilities: Strengthen their substation design team and grow their capability for the transmission and distribution systems of the future Provide support to the full value chain offering for transmission operators, distribution network operators, wind, solar, energy storage and ancillary services developers You’ll be involved in a range of services from feasibility design through to the preparation of technical specifications, scheme drawings and design compliance checks throughout the design process on all elements of EHV and HV substation protection systems Build trusted relationships with clients, contribute to bid preparation and provide mentoring/leadership for colleagues Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree / Masters in Electrical Engineering or HNC/ HND qualifications Proven technical ability in the design and application of EHV/HV protection systems up to and including 132kV Expert in technical Substation design and deep understanding of the associated disciplines Passion for delivering innovative solutions IT literate Must have a full UK driving licence, be eligible to work in the UK and fluent English speaking with suitable experience to be considered. They expect you to be self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach to work and be able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
