Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00)

End Date: 5 July 2026
Pay Rate: PAYE: £323.82 per day or Umbrella: £450 per day
Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Disposals Surveyor to support a local authority property and asset management function. This is a key role within the estates and surveying team, focused on delivering efficient asset disposal processes and maximising value from public sector property holdings.
You will play a pivotal role in managing disposal programmes, providing professional valuation advice, and ensuring all transactions are completed in line with legislation, policy, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload of property disposals from instruction through to completion
* Undertake site appraisals, inspections, and valuation work to support disposal strategy
* Provide professional advice on land and property asset management
* Prepare reports, recommendations, and documentation for internal governance approval
* Liaise with internal departments, legal teams, and external stakeholders
* Support the council in achieving best value from surplus assets
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedures, and local authority standards
* Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the disposal process
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a Disposals Surveyor or similar estates/property role
* Strong background in local authority or public sector property management
* Knowledge of asset disposal processes and valuation principles
* Ability to manage multiple property transactions simultaneously
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* MRICS qualification (or equivalent experience) desirable but not essential
