Level 3 Teaching Assistant – KS2 Southampton Start Date: February/March 2026 Contract: Long-term with the potential to become permanent Salary: £14 – £16 per hour (Dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Location: Southampton About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a warm, forward‑thinking primary school rated “Good” by Ofsted. The role involves supporting pupils across KS2, with a particular focus on Year 6. You will play a key part in delivering targeted booster sessions and SATs preparation, helping pupils build confidence and secure strong outcomes. Experience with interventions in SPaG, Maths, Reading, and Writing would be a significant advantage. This position is ideal for someone who brings patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills to their work. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting SATs interventions for Year 6 students Providing 1:1 or small group support where required. Providing booster support sessions for those who have gaps in learning Assisting teaching staff with adapting learning resources to suit individual needs. Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience. Supporting the smooth running of the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment.
