HGV Workshop Manager - Waltham Forrest
Salary - £62,500 + Vehicle + Bonuses

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, supervisory experience, and proficiency. This role involves coordinating projects, supervising team members, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining workflow, managing resources, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties :
Lead a team who use technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery.
Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts used, maintaining thorough documentation.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across all sections of OHSAS18001 accredited workshop.
Carry out scheduled inspections and services to ensure compliance with the company's operator license and DVSA regulations.
Complete service and repair documentation and any other maintenance documentation in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (will also consider time served applicants).
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
Strong problem-solving skills
Skills
Proven management experience within a workshop or construction environment
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
Ability to solve problems promptly and make informed decisions under pressure
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to workshop operations
