Job Summary
Nantmor Blinds have been established for over 40 years and we sell, manufacture and install a wide range of quality window blinds and associated products. We specialise in motorised and complex window shading solutions and are a forward thinking, motivated, ethical, growing company looking to expand on our skilled and dedicated workforce.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Window Blind Installer /Surveyor who pays great attention to detail, with a perfectionist attitude and a very friendly, customer focused, professional attitude. Previous proven experience is essential for this role.
It is absolutely essential to the company that we employ the right staff, with the right attitude. Job Type / Category
The main duties for this post are the installation of window furnishing products - generally but not exclusively throughout Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire. The post is generally site based and will involve some ladder and scaffold working on occasion.
This role will also include some surveying for window coverings in commercial properties, ensuring that blinds are accurately measured and properly fitted. Your expertise helps avoid costly mistakes by assessing window dimensions, identifying potential installation challenges, and recommending suitable blind types to our commercial customers.
Experience in surveying and installing outside awnings would be advantageous, as it adds valuable expertise in handling external installations, assessing structural requirements, and recommending durable, weather-resistant solutions tailored to outdoor settings.
On an ad hoc basis you may be required to deliver products to our trade customers.
Basic hours are 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, but the role does and will require some flexibility and overtime, and some occasional working at unsociable times (early starts / late finishes and occasional weekend work).
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
* You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly manufacturing & installation team and must be reliable, motivated and quality conscious.
* Proven relevant experience and a general knowledge of tools, fixing backgrounds and some DIY experience or similar is necessary.
* Successful candidates should be capable of problem solving and working alone under their own initiative.
* Applicants should hold a full clean driving license.
* The post will involve working in schools, Police premises and other 'sensitive' areas & all applicants will be CRB checked, go through Police Vetting procedures, and must not have a criminal record.
* It would be preferred but not essential, that applicants hold a current CSCS (Site Health and Safety) card to allow access to building sites etc.

* This post will involve a strict Probationary period to enable us to assess the suitability of successful applicants.
