Job Description Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer Salary: Up to £55,000 Location: Bradford Industry: FMCG Manufacturing My client, a leading FMCG manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of production machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and PLC-based faults in a timely manner. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in production processes and implement effective solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Project Work: Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrade of new machinery or systems. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams and other engineering colleagues to ensure smooth operation and address technical challenges. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment faults, and improvements. Skills and Experience: Essential: Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical). Experience with both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Proven ability to work with PLCs and fault-finding on machinery. Strong understanding of automation, control systems, and preventative maintenance. Experience within a high-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment. Desirable: Experience with various automated systems and robotics. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
