We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our supply staff team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Children’s Centre, ensuring a high-quality learning environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.
This post is variable hours - the hourly rate is £11.52 - £11.82 per hour.
What we're looking for:
* Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or working towards it).
* GCSE Maths grade C or above.
* Basic Food Safety and Paediatric First Aid certifications.
* Recent experience in a day nursery or similar setting.
* Understanding of EYFS and safeguarding children.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
What you'll be doing:
* Maintain a safe, secure, and clean environment for children.
* Provide a happy and friendly atmosphere for children and parents.
* Establish and maintain professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
* Plan and implement stimulating activities that support children’s development.
* Act as a proactive key person, ensuring the provision of the EYFS through the seven areas of learning and development.
* Produce accurate written records of children’s development through assessments and observations.
* Ensure effective behaviour management and promote positive behaviour.
* Serve meals, prepare snacks, and assist with feeding babies and children.
* Attend staff meetings and undertake cleaning duties as required.
* Maintain personal hygiene and assist children with toileting, nappy changing, and other personal care tasks.
