The Role As a Science Lecturer in a secondary setting, you will: Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available) Teach your specialist subject area - Biology, Chemistry, or Physics - while supporting across the wider curriculum where required Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, and practical investigation skills Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of mixed-ability classes, including SEND learners Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment initiatives such as STEM clubs and science fairs The Ideal Candidate You will have: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS, QTLS, or equivalent), or relevant lecturing experience A degree or strong academic background in a Science-related subject Experience teaching or lecturing in Science (FE, sixth form, or school settings welcome) Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills A passion for STEM education and inspiring young people A collaborative and adaptable approach to working within a school environment Applications are welcomed from experienced lecturers as well as those looking to transition from further education or industry into secondary teaching.
