Main purpose of the role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented in-house mid-level e-commerce Image Retoucher to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for retouching and enhancing product images for our online store, ensuring all visuals align with our brand standards. You will work across AYBL Group, supporting three brands. Collaborating closely with the brand and creative teams, you’ll ensure a smooth flow of high-quality images for our website, presenting each product at its best.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Support AYBL and Because of Alice across departments and brands, primarily reporting to the Lead Creative Designer for AYBL.
* Retouch e-commerce product images to meet brand standards, including colour correction, background removal, and other adjustments for a polished finish.
* Collaborate with photographers to ensure accurate image capture during photoshoots and assist with e-commerce prep for retouching.
* Optimize and export images for web use, ensuring fast loading times and quality; manage asset organization, test uploads, and final sign-offs.
* Maintain consistency across product images, ensuring alignment with style, lighting, and presentation guidelines.
* Manage a calendar to ensure smooth workflow across brands, meeting deadlines for product launches, website updates, and campaigns.
* Work with the creative team to produce visuals for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and online promotions, including ad hoc retouching for digital marketing and social media.
* You will also be responsible for managing the image usage tracker, ensuring all assets are properly documented and utilized across platforms and campaigns.
* Conduct website reviews, updating images for older products and capturing missing images to ensure all products are displayed optimally.
* Able to respond effectively to last-minute requests and changes, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
* Bridge communication between the creative and e-commerce teams, ensuring test uploads and image consistency with brand guidelines.
* Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in image retouching and e-commerce photography.
Person Specification
* Minimum of 2+ years experience in a similar role.
* Proven image retouching experience, preferably in e-commerce or fashion.
* Proficient in Capture One, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, with strong color correction and enhancement skills.
* Strong attention to detail and consistency in product imagery.
* Experience optimizing images for web use, balancing quality and speed.
* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines across brands.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
* Efficient in organizing and managing image assets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Adaptable to last-minute image requests in a fast-paced environment.
