As an Estates and Trusts paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Solicitors in the estates and trusts department.
You will be responsible for assisting with various aspects of estate planning, trust administration, and probate proceedings.
Conduct preliminary client interviews to gather relevant information for estate planning purposes.
Assist in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
Prepare and file estate planning documents with appropriate government agencies.
Manage trust administration tasks, such as asset transfers, beneficiary notifications, and trust accounting.
Assist in probate proceedings, including preparing court filings, managing deadlines, and communicating with clients and court personnel.
Conduct legal research on trusts and estates issues, including statutes, regulations, and case law.
Maintain accurate and organised client files and databases.
Provide administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and managing calenders You will need:
Prior experience working as a paralegal in an estates and trusts practice is preferred.
Strong knowledge of estate planning concepts, including wills, trusts, and probate.
