The role will specialise in New Product Development (NPD) engineering within a dynamic and growing organisation. Based in a modern, purpose-built office, the role involves managing multiple fast-paced projects spanning various product families and materials. They have a huge pipeline of NPD and this will bring the opportunity to work with a large variety of materials and metals.
This role is ideal for a Mechanical Design engineer with a strong background in product design and development with GD&T experience. A candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a degree (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, and is looking to progress their career in a collaborative and innovative NPD setting will find this position particularly rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop robust, manufacturable mechanical design solutions using CAD and analysis tools.
* Manage all aspects of product design and development, including validation, type approval, and production support.
* Provide technical engineering support for legacy products while adhering to structured APQP development processes.
* You must have experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T).
* Undertake occasional offsite travel, including overseas assignments.
In return you’ll receive a salary up to £45k, 23 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays), 5% matched pension scheme and a bonus up to 5% per annum.
