About Our Nursery
Busy Bees Leicester Blaby is rated "Good" by Ofsted and has a capacity of 60 children. Opened in 2009, our nursery is on the outskirts of Blaby. We feature three base rooms, one level, with large outdoor areas including Astro turf, soft-pour flooring, natural areas, and a mud kitchen to support play-based learning. The nursery is spacious and welcoming, within walking distance of Blaby Centre and near the Baby Gold Centre.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations for the Level 2 Catering Apprentice
* Assist in planning and preparing nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements and food safety standards.
* Support the delivery of high-quality catering services and provide a positive customer experience.
* Build effective relationships with team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas.
* Follow food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
* Work towards achieving the apprenticeship standards set by Busy Bees Education and Training, aiming to complete within the agreed timeframe.
* Be proactive and eager to learn new skills in the kitchen.
* Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement.
* Communicate regularly with your line manager about tasks and progress.
As a Level 2 Catering Apprentice, you’ll work with experienced culinary professionals who will mentor you. You will attend tailored Learning & Development courses, and a Development Coach will visit regularly to assess progress and provide guidance.
