About The Role
Are you ready to start a rewarding career in civil engineering and construction supervision? Join Balfour Beatty’s Regional Civils team as a Trainee Civils Supervisor on our A22 highways improvement project in East Sussex, and take your first steps toward becoming a future leader in infrastructure delivery.
As a Civils Trainee Supervisor, you’ll work alongside experienced site teams and mentors to learn the fundamentals of site supervision in a live project environment. You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple aspects of civil works including groundworks, drainage, structures, and road construction.
We will fully support your development, including providing CSCS and SSSTS certification, on-the-job training, and clear career progression pathways.
What you'll be doing
As a Trainee Civils Supervisor You Will
* Assisting with daily site supervision and coordination of works
* Supporting the site management team with planning and safety compliance
* Monitoring site progress and reporting to supervisors and engineers
* Learning to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
* Promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture on site.
Who we're looking for
You Will Have The Following
* A construction or Trade background
* Have genuine interest in civil engineering or construction
* A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to work outdoors in a hands-on environment.
