Overview

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for streamlining processes, enhancing employee experiences, and driving operational excellence? This role at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) provides strategic and operational support to the HR elements of the Unity Programme, with a focus on process improvement, data integrity, and system adoption. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in HR processes and systems, particularly in relation to SuccessFactors, and will lead key workstreams to ensure successful implementation and integration of the Unity shared services model.


Responsibilities

* Impact and Gap Analysis: Maintain and update impact and gap analysis documentation by HR process area, identifying areas for improvement and alignment with Unity programme goals.
* Process Mapping: Lead the end-to-end mapping of HR processes, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with Unity system capabilities.
* Data Collection & Commissions: Coordinate and lead data collection activities and commissions required for Unity implementation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Position Management Lead: Work alongside the Departmental workforce planning lead to scope and develop the adoption of the Unity position management model, including job mapping and structural alignment across departments.
* Notifications Management: Collaborate with stakeholders across the programme to manage all HR notifications linked to Unity programme changes and updates.
* Subject Matter Expertise: Lead SME for specific SuccessFactor/HR processes.
* Testing: Lead testing activities for Unity system changes, including test script development, execution, and issue resolution, working in a matrix leadership role with testing colleagues to ensure all aspects of the Unity model are tested and defects logged/managed.
* HR Knowledge Management: Maintain and reference HR guidance, audit trails, and knowledge repositories to support decision-making and ensure compliance.


Qualifications

* Proven experience in HR operations, ideally within a public sector or large organizational context.
* Strong understanding of HR systems, particularly SuccessFactors.
* Experience in process mapping and improvement methodologies.
* Excellent analytical and data management skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
