Job Description - Receptionist (SHO00HQ)


Overview

Shockerwick House is an historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays for a minimum of one week and day care. Shockerwick House is located on the outskirts of Bath’s World Heritage Site. The home has a secure entry and exit system and a 24-hour call system so that residents feel safe and secure. All bedrooms have their own TV and telephone. Special diets are catered for and the home has magnificent, oak-panelled dining rooms. The home offers activities such as relaxation sessions, manicures and foot spas, arts and crafts and musical afternoons. Location: Somerset BA1 7LL. Salary: £12.25 - £13.25 per hour (dependent on experience). CQC rating: Good.

You’ll help us make health happen by:


Responsibilities

* Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
* Taking responsibility for managing new enquiries
* Providing advice and support both face to face and over the phone
* Conducting show-arounds within the care home
* Supporting the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties such as maintaining paperwork and filing
* Dealing with enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed


Qualifications

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You’ve worked as a Receptionist before with experience in providing excellent customer service. You’ll have a friendly manner both face to face and over the phone. You’re approachable and organised and have the ability to build strong relationships with residents, their families and internal teams. You’re dedicated and efficient with an ability to handle a varied workload, and importantly, your caring attitude underpins everything you do to make a real difference to people’s lives.
