My client is searching for a Residential Conveyancing Secretary to join their Chislehurst, Greater London Offices This business wishes to appoint a full-time Legal Secretary to join their busy team to provide administrative and secretarial support to the firm's fee-earners. The role’s responsibilities includes but are not limited to: • To prepare correspondence and documents through audio typing and digital dictation • Opening, closing and retrieval of client files • To either directly deal with photocopying or arrange for this to be done • To make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary • To arrange meeting and conference rooms as necessary • To provide support to other secretaries when required to do so • To provide guidance to other more junior and temporary secretaries • To attend clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s client care standards • To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have responsibility towards self-development • To carry out additional tasks as and when required Person Specification • The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a legal secretary within a busy conveyancing department. • Strong secretarial skills including experience of audio typing • Ability to prepare case documents • IT literate – experience of case management systems, Microsoft Outlook and internet applications • Excellent customer facing and communication skills • Ability to accept responsibility and display a supportive ‘can do’ attitude • Ability to problem solve • Ability to work to deadlines under pressure • Accuracy and attention to detail • Discretion for dealing with sensitive or confidential information • Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills • Ability to offer adaptability and flexibility in the working environment • Ability to work as part of a small team and build effective relationships with colleagues in the wider business An ideal role for an ambitious experienced Legal Secretary looking to work for a busy and friendly business Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal and Financial Recruitment.
