Are you an experienced auditor looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join a forward-thinking and respected Internal Audit Service, supporting both local government and external public sector clients.
In this role, you will work as part of a professional and collaborative team delivering high-quality internal audit services that provide assurance over governance, risk management and control arrangements. You will manage a portfolio of complex audits, contribute to the development of annual audit plans, and help shape continuous improvement across the team.
Duties
1. Lead and deliver audits with minimal supervision, using a risk-based approach
2. Evaluate internal controls, governance and risk management practices
3. Identify and communicate practical, value-adding recommendations
4. Develop audit scopes, methodologies, and tailored testing strategies
5. Produce clear, concise reports for senior stakeholders
6. Contribute to the annual audit planning process
