With sites in the Vale of Glamorgan, Europe, and the USA and a team of 250 talented people, growth is at the heart of everything they do. They are now seeking aMaintenance Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and the repair of machinery, equipment, and systems. They will ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all physical assets through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective repairs. Monitor and improve maintenance processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or upgrades. Supervise and lead contractors, work and adherence to PPM schedules Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement. Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities. Qualifications Minimum of NVQ 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering related subject Proven experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in manufacturing Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. Ability to read technical drawings and manuals. Additional Information The role is primarily based on-site, with frequent time spent on the production floor or operational areas. Work may involve exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and high places. May require on-call availability, including weekends and holidays. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed. Must wear appropriate PPE when required (PPE will be provided) May require occasional travel to other sites or locations.
