The Role
Lecturer in Accounting & Finance for the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. We require flexibility to teach across weekdays, evenings and weekends. Your expertise will ignite a passion for learning and make a lasting impact.
What you'll be doing
As a Lecturer you will participate in all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your subject and student support practices.
Responsibilities Include
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Engage actively in staff development, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Stay current with developments in the field and student support practices.
* Work toward objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
* Hold a UK or equivalent Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (PhD desirable).
* Have UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit.
* Demonstrate extensive subject‑matter knowledge.
* Supervise student work and provide feedback.
* Maintain accurate reports and organised student records.
* Work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Work well with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or be committed to enrolling in one within three years.
* Be fully qualified from PSRBs such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or IFA.
