Overview
Two TEC Project Support Officers - Installations to join Birmingham City Council on a 12-month fixed term contract. The roles are primarily based in the Careline Service in Holt Court, Aston (5 Holt Court, Heneage Street West, Birmingham, B7 4AX) and require a vehicle driver with a full driving licence. No previous technical experience is required as full training will be given. This is a customer focused role with daily interactions with citizens in their own homes, involving diary management, scheduling appointments, installing communication devices, and explaining what is happening on each visit. You will also support practitioners to make the right TEC referral based on assessed needs.
Responsibilities
* Working directly with Social Care Practitioners and accessing the case management system, Eclipse, to review referrals and process TEC in line with Careline procedures.
* Booking timely appointments with citizens to arrange visits to install or de-install TEC from their property.
* Explaining the TEC and completing all required paperwork with the citizen and/or family to ensure clear understanding of TEC purpose and usage, including safety information for emergencies.
* Completing necessary documentation and ensuring accurate recording of visits for TEC in Eclipse and Care Control to support citizen safety.
* Collaborating as part of a team with ASC and Careline to deliver the best service to citizens.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Excellent customer service and empathy for citizens.
* Full driving licence; car/van provision or expenses available if using own vehicle.
* No prior technical experience required; a willingness to learn and receive training.
* Ability to organise own diary and manage appointments.
* Comfort with working in a home environment and communicating clearly with citizens about TEC usage.
* Proficiency with relevant systems as required (e.g., Eclipse) and accurate record keeping.

* Grade: 3 – £27,254 – £33,699; Consultation grade subject to Pay Equity Review
