We're working with a well-established firm that's looking to bring on a confident and capable Client Manager / Senior Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a client-facing role and enjoys leading teams, managing a portfolio, and delivering high-quality service across a range of sectors.
What you'll be doing:
Managing a diverse client portfolio including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities.
Preparing and reviewing accounts, management reports, and overseeing bookkeeping processes.
Leading and mentoring junior staff, setting budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Handling tax compliance and planning across corporation tax, income tax, VAT, CGT, PAYE, and CIS.
Liaising directly with HMRC and supporting clients through enquiries.
Working closely with partners and senior management to drive client satisfaction and practice growth.
Representing the firm professionally—both online and at networking events. What we're looking for:
Strong technical grounding in accounting and tax, with experience using software like Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and tax production tools.
A proactive leader with a "can-do" attitude and a passion for mentoring others.
Someone who enjoys building relationships and taking ownership of their work.
Ideally professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA), but qualified by experience will also be considered.
Excellent communication skills and a confident presence in client meetings. Why apply?
