JOB DESCRIPTION
Product Manager
We are seeking an experienced product manager with a strong background in the cosmetics and toiletries sector or FMCG industry with hands-on knowledge of packaging technology. Must be detail-oriented and commercially minded and can blend creativity, technical insight and strategic thinking to bring products to the market within tight project timelines and within target margins.
Key responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end product development, lifecycle management and customer portfolio management across household and personal care categories
Engage with customers to develop packaging solutions (primary & secondary packaging) aligned with their goals, technical requirements and sustainability policies
Collaborate regularly with R & D, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Services and external suppliers to ensure successful product launches
Prepare product costing sheets in conjunction with Sales team
Manage customers artwork / approval processes for packaging / packaging artworks to ensure they comply with cosmetic regulations, safety standards and labelling requirements (INCI’s, claims, warnings etc.)
Support sustainability initiatives such as PCR integration etc.
Conduct market analysis, monitor market trends through various categories and prepare market review presentations with a customer focus
Qualifications:
3+ years product / project management or packaging development experience in cosmetics, toiletries, personal care or FMCG sector
Strong understanding of packaging and artwork preparation with a high level of attention to detail
Sound knowledge of sustainability requirements
Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Must be able to multi-task and manage tight project timelines
Work as part of a team and on own initiative
Excellent PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva etc.)
Ability to communicate well at all levels
